PB & PUMPKIN DOG TREATS
Prep: 30 minutes
Bake: 45 to 60 minutes
Oven: 300 degrees F
Stand: overnight in oven
½ cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup canned pumpkin
1 egg
¼ cup water
2 tablespoons honey
2 cups whole wheat flour
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, pumpkin, egg, water and honey. Stir until well combined. Add the flour, and beat with an electric mixer until mixture forms a dough. Roll dough out on a floured surface to ¼ inch thickness.
Cut dough into biscuits using a 2 inch cookie cutter and transfer to a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet(s). Bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until biscuits are crisp and golden brown. Leave biscuits in oven. Turn oven off. Let biscuits dry in oven overnight.
Makes 4 to 5 dozen (2 inch) dog treats.
